Re—introducing A.M.S. Newsletter
Considering new ways to share new work, updates, research, misc. entries, artist resources, etc. more meaningfully, while feeling less and less enchanted by social platforms —
Like many artists, I’m sensitive to the ways in which my work lives on platforms now punctuated between catastrophic news bites. My hope with this newsletter is to create an alternative space to share, inviting you visit with intention and read at your leisure.
TIN ANGEL, ENGRAVED PLATES MADE END OF SUMMER IN ATHENS, GR. — REVISTED IN MY DAD’S WOODSHOP DURING A DEEP, HIBERNATIVE WINTER, MINNEAPOLIS.
Through these past years, I’ve enjoyed sharing my work + updates through this format, and the feedback, conversation, and connection it has inspired. I thank each of you for your encouragement and care for my work, and look forward to sharing more of my process with you — along with other visual and sonic treats — in the new year…
This offering is an experimental, reader-supported publication; a virtual “studio visit” that supports my practice while between physical studio spaces. I’m currently gathering my thoughts for a fuller letter and look forward to sharing more in coming weeks …
In the meantime, sharing again my New Years offering: A classifieds list of compiled artist residencies + grants (most of which are free to apply to + fully funded) — many deadlines still approaching. Good luck! x Andrea
